This is what makes marble and other natural stones such a pleasure to work with. You can have something truly unique in your space, something that no other house, hotel, restaurant or other commercial space has.
However, with this comes risks as well. Many times clients ask for samples. The samples, especially for materials with veins, do not really help. Also, some samples are very deceiving from what you will get in the end.
With regards to Tiles, in order to alleviate these issues, we offer a “Dry Lay” process. This ensures the quality of the tiles ordered, the effect you want to achieve and meet the expectations of the overall desired look.
During the Dry Lay process, our staff place each and every tile in its desired position, simulating the end result of the actual finished project.
We choose the right position after taking into account the surface and quality characteristics of the tiles, their dimensions and of course the aesthetic effect (the desired pattern) of each project.
We advise to have trained inspectors from the client's side to oversee the process to ensure that the desired outcome is achieved.
Applications
What are the advantages ?
The greatest benefit of the Dry Lay process is the flexibility and opportunity to rectify mistakes long before the final and conclusive placement of the tiles.
Aesthetics: Combination of colors, veins matching, matching different types of marbles and checking sizes.
Quality: Measuring tile moisture content is important to avoid any issues within the pallet during transportation, causing potential problems upon installation.
Does it cost ?
Yes, we typically charge per m2, it depends on size of project and complexity. It is not very expensive and we highly recommend it, especially for high spec projects.
In case, clients cannot visit our partner premises abroad, we can arrange photos and videos to be taken and shared.
We always endeavor the best result so please feel free to get in touch for your next IvySpace project !
